Policies

General Policy

Children age 2 and up count as occupants. Do not include children under age 2 when making your reservation. The definition of "occupant" and maximum occupancy is defined and set forth by the Minnesota Department of Health and the Fire Marshall, not our business. Please keep in mind that each room has a maximum occupancy that cannot be exceeded. The maximum occupancy of our rooms is determined by the State of Minnesota. Exceeding the maximum number of guests is grounds of immediate termination without refund. Children under age 2 do not count toward maximum occupancy. Housing additional guests is not allowed. An occupant (or guest) list must be provided on your rental agreement, including name, age, and number of nights each person will be staying at the property.

Written Cancellation Policy

Lodging reservations are date specific. Reservations may be changed or refunded if requested by phone 30 or more days before arrival (by 5PM CST). A 5% cancellation fee will apply. With Spot Refund Guarantee, cancellations within 30 days of arrival are 90% refundable up to 72 hours before arrival, with refunds processed through Spot. Without Spot Refund Guarantee, all reservations are final within 30 days of arrival – no changes, transfers, credits, or refunds. The weather does not change our cancellation policy.

Written Deposit Policy

All orders must be paid in full at the time of reservation. 

Check In

Check-In Begins at 4:00 PM The minimum age to check-in is 18 years old, proof of identity is required for check-in. You will need codes to access the building and your room and WE DO NOT HAVE 24 HOUR FRONT DESK. If you are going to arrive after front desk is closed please make sure and call for your codes.

Check Out

Check-Out is 10:00 AM

Pets Policy

We have 2 dog-friendly rooms at Mountain Inn. Dogs are allowed in DOG FRIENDLY ROOMS ONLY, with prior approval by phone for an additional fee of $39 plus tax for 1 dog, per stay, with a maximum of 2 dogs per room with an additional cost of $10 for a second dog. Please call to check availability for your furry family member. The maximum number of dogs allowed is 2. Undisclosed pets will be charged $150 and guests may be asked to leave the property.

Other Policy

All lodging reservations at the Mountain Inn are subject to an additional Resort Service Charge (2%) and a Regional Tax/Fee (4%) at the time of purchase. All lodging reservations are subject to Minnesota State Sales Tax (6.875%) and Cook County Sales Tax (1.5%). Applicable taxes and fees are not included in the room rates.
